I had an EKG and a chest xray but that's it. My primary care physician did both.

Yes, I had to get an echocardiogram, dress EKG, EKG and chest x-ray. Not sure why, I'm 28 with no history of cardiac disease

Yes I did all that, but my pcp set me up for a stress test. Wonder why. I also don't have any pre existing conditions or illnesses so I don't know what to make of it. But he said dont worry. I trust him.

Yep, echo, ekg, and stress test. This is required by some insurance companies and many surgeons. Just a safety precaution (regardless of history or age...i'm 23 w/no heart issues).

I did! Had to take a stress test and echo cardiogram (an ultra sound of the heart). Every thing worked out for me and will for you too!

Different surgeons & different insurances= Different Requirements

I had an EKG & chest x-rays (standard from my understanding) and a bi-lateral leg doplar because of my past history of blood clots. I'll find out about my liquid diet today and go in for surgery on June 9th.

I have seen people who end up with NO liquid diet before surgery and people with a month of liquids before! It's all based on your doctor and THEIR protocal. It's crazy to me seeing all the requirements for some people and others not so much. You would think it would be very similar for everyone.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
