I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG!

Recommended Posts

So I had my surgery November 10th, 2010. From day one after the surgery I was able to eat chicken salad and smushy things with no problems, i went right past the liquid stage because apparently they said eat what you can tolerate. So its been 6 months, i was able to eat anything i wanted in pretty decent amounts and never had anything stuck or anything like that. I was almost at full capacity. 13.5 cc in a 14 cc band, and only at a 20lb loss. i knew something wasnt right. I had an x-ray and apparently the band became "un-latched". the part that held it together was not in place and had to be fixed. They immediately set me up for revision surgery .I had the surgery yesterday and boy what a difference! i get full after a popsicle, or 2 bites of applesauce and i only have 4 cc's in there. Im so happy that i can finally be on my way to getting healthy and losing weight! :D

Wow, I can't imagine. I probably would have gained weight. I guess things like that do happen; my band slipped immediately after surgery and I had to have it re-done like 36 hours later. I am glad you are on the right path now......biggrin.gif

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
