  13. Everyone's doctor's orders are different. I was on soft solids 7 days out of surgery - per my surgeon.
  14. Nothing like being in a meeting and having it get all velociraptor on me.
  15. Oh my goodness. I always enjoyed Shirley's posts. Her family will be in my thoughts.
  16. I did some more snooping, and I think this recipe is pretty darn close to the one I've been looking for. I would use cracker crumbs instead of bread cubes though, might lower the calories as well. I'm going to try it out this week! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/spaghetti-squash-casserole/detail.aspx?lnkid=ARPinIt
  17. An ex's mom used to make this really thin casserole with spaghetti squash. It was like a crusted parmesean topping with the spaghetti squash and something else as the bottom layer. OMG it was fantastic, if I didn't despise my ex-bf I'd totally hit him up for the recipe. I haven't found anything close to it since then.

  19. Honestly? The surgery is very quick. The only thing a lot of us have trouble with is the gas/air they use to fill us up for laparoscopic surgery. Recovery itself isn't horribly bad either. Just sore. You've had a long road to get to the point you're at, so I would say a big congrats is in order!! You'll be happy with your decision!
  20. Love the title!!! Love the suit!! I too can't wait to go wherever I please to shop. Congrats!!!!

  24. Awesome!!! Hope to join you in the 100 lb loss club too!!
  25. I have a bf who is an enabler too, except I'm not a sweets addict, I'm a salty and cheesy. adorkbl's post is definitely motivating!! OP, glad to read you're taking steps in the right direction and keep us posted!
  26. Well crap, lol. Don't get discouraged!!! Any loss to me is a good loss, no matter how long it took me to get there. I know for a fact if I hadn't have had the surgery I would have put on at least another 30 lbs.
  27. Hi, I've lost 65lbs. It's taken me 15 months to get to this point and I have at least another 60 to go. I'm a slower loser (I have no thyroid and have PCOS) so don't go by my story, plus it took me forever to get to restriction.
  28. Why is that we all drank diet sodas and we were still heavy?? I think the artificial sweetner in them makes it worse for us. I digress.... I drank Dr Pepper like nobody's business before surgery. I quit about 3 months before surgery and haven't looked back. I tried a cream soda once, my boyfriend brought home this yummy looking old fashioned bottle of them and I had to try it. Yeah, no. Hurt like hell. I also do the sweet tea or Water, can't say I miss it at all now. A cold glass of water is so much more refreshing.
  29. Absolutely fantastic!!! You deserve it!!
  30. You guys, it took me 6 fills and 8.2 cc's in a 9 cc band for me to feel restriction. I'm actually going Friday to get a little bit taken out because it's too much, but still...it took 13 months to get to that place. Don't get frustrated, you'll get there!
  31. I won't know myself until Friday as that will be my first unfill, but I would like to think that I won't be hungry as I'll be able to eat proper foods. Cold drinks are hard for me to get down too and I know that that just isn't right. I think though, that they want you on a day or 2 of liquids, probably, just like when you have a fill. That way you're not irritating your band? Maybe someone can confirm for us. Good luck with your unfill, can't wait till I get mine!
