My Band has a MIND of its OWN!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Ok So my band really does have a mind of its own!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday for lunch we went out to subway (sometimes i can tolerate bread) My boyfriend and I were chatting away and i looked down and had completed a whole 6 inch sub!!!! (take in mind i probably ate it over an hour period) This is very unusual for me to be able to eat that much! Then I ate my normal sized dinner and went to bed.

Ok so now to the band and its mind... Today I cant eat ANYTHING ughhh haha! I guess my band has said "I let you eat yesterday so no food for you today!" Does anyone else have days like this??? Most days I'm on my normal diet... Some days i can eat the world... then on others I cant eat ANYTHING

:blink::lol:

My band also has a mind of it's own, but I don't think it would let me eat a 6" sub because it won't let me eat bread :blink: . There are days were my normal food just doesn't want to go down as easily. I think it all has to do with hormone and my cycle. My band and I are a team, but most of the time it seems to be in charge.:lol:

Mine is like that too! As you loose weight your band gets looser and you need another fill....also your hormones play a huge part. The week before my period I am so tight I can hardly eat and then I am back to "normal" after that. You are not alone I have the same weird stuff happen to me too!

I am finding out that my band is the same way. Seems on sundays it lets me eat what I want and then come Monday and Tuesday back to really small meals if it even lets me eat. Weird :blink:

Oh you are not alone! Yesterday, I could eat (normal 1/2 cup portions). Today...I feel like something is sitting on the band! :o But, I wouldn't get rid of it either!

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
