Sleep study tonight. Soooo dreading it!

Recommended Posts

I've been looking at pics of people having sleep studies. It looks like Frankenstein's monster. How in hell does anyone sleep with all that crap all over them, even on their face and mouth? I can't stand anything touching my face when i sleep. I can't even wear those breathe right strips because I can't stand the way it feels on my nose. I can't sleep on my back. I toss and turn a lot so they'll probably be in there all the time fixing all the wires. They expect me to get to sleep like that then they'll wake me up between 5:00-6:00 a.m.!?? Good grief, if I could go back I swear I would have never told them that I snore or feel tired during the day. Not the way I like to spend a Friday night.

OK, whine over.

I'm much the same way. But once they've got you all hooked up, and you're not looking at yourself, you really don't feel things much. And nothing hurts, so it's not that big of a deal. The trick will be to get yourself tired enough that you can get to sleep at a reasonable hour. Stay away from caffeine and such so you aren't too alert too late. Good luck!

So glad that's over! It wasn't horrible but it wasn't the most comfortable night I've spent either. The tech was very good and made me as comfortable as possible. The worst thing was the tubes up my nose and the chest band was irritating under my arms. I hope to heck I don't have apnea because I can't imagine sleeping with a cpap mask every night. Plus I would have to go back for the adjusting night. I hope the results come back soon and it's negative.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
