I had mine moved it had flipped and it was too high under my ribs when I bent over I could feel it my doctor moved it down and over I didn't have general anesthesia I opted to have local and be deeply sedated you know what it going on but you can't feel the pain recovery wasn't bad at all nothing like actual band placement little sore but recovery is quick.

I feel like something is in the way of my ribs although you can feel my port at least an inch and a half away from my bottom rib.

MY family doc today said that I possibly have a nerve that is being pressed by the port and the reaction is feeling this discomfort under my left rib cage.

It feels like I can't lay on that side cause of the irritation to the rib and I can't sit for a long time without having to lean the other way and try to stretch up - it feels like it is on something.

Did you feel like this with yours?

Nancy

Mine was hard to access so it was moved. I was awake (but felt drunk from the sedation) during the whole thing. I was a chatterbox during the surgery and kept asking them if I could see what they were doing but they wouldn't let me.

The recovery was about a day...but my belly was a little sore for a few days. No big deal at all.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
