Thats how I was. I didn't gain weight but I wasnt losing either. I had my second fill, and I have some restriction but not like I want. My surgeon told me that if I can eat a whole burger patty, then i should come in for a fill. I'm at 6.2cc's In my 10cc band. I'm gonna get another fill at the end of the month.

Hang in there! It does get better. Until you reach restriction, I would concentrate on eating the right foods- high protien, low carb, low fat. Your portions may be larger than they will be when you have restriction, but at least you shouldn't gain. I know it's hard, but you'll get through what is known as "bandster hell". It took me 3 fills to feel restriction. Good luck! One more thing, if your not excersising I would start. It works wonders for weight loss. The benefits are just too numerous to pass up. Start out slow and gradually increase your duration/intensity. You can do this!

Laurajean1, you are not alone. I felt very little after my 1st fill, after my 2nd I thought I was at perfect restriction but then about 3 weeks later it faded away & I have been struggling just trying not to gain for the past 5 weeks. Going in this week for fill #3 hoping this will get me where I need to be. Best of luck & hang in there.

Hang in there Laura! In the meantime, try hard to select healthy filling foods. Sometimes I drink a bottle of Water and it helps. Plus, it puts me off eating for 30min since that's my doctors orders for how long I have to wait after drinking. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
