I didnt cheat but I found the loop hole!

Recommended Posts

I didnt cheat but I found the loop hole. I preach "Too much of anything good can be bad" and I proved it. I had my Wongton and Im allowed soft mushies now. I wasnt starving when I ate but it was the 1st thing I had that tasted so dang good. I over ate. I wasnt paying attention and just kept eating. It was served in a large styrofoam cup so of course I should have divided a portion out, nope that would have made sense.

Oye vey....2 weeks out, 1st mushy meal and already feel like a heffer again. Hoping I've learned my lesson. Just had to vent. Thanks for listening.

Don't beat yourself up! One thing I suggest is adding some planned Snacks during the day. Try to keep yourself from getting too hungry, thats when we eat too much/eat too fast. Also, journal what your eating if your not already. Excersise when your doc. gives you the ok. It was vital to my weightloss and now maintance. Good luck!

There will be many situations in the future that are so tempting and, as you've discovered, portioning out *before* we eat might save us from overeating.

Don't beat yourself up...just move forward. :)

Yup... someone left me a little heart shaped box of choclolate on my desk today. It had 5 pieces of choclolate in it. I was just going to have one... ate 3, Made someone else eat the other two but had they not I would have. Sort of feel like a dumb cluck now. chocolate is truly my weakness. On the ohterhand, everyone at works knows I've had lapband surgery, and they know my love of chocolate... why would you leave me a box? One of those things I just have no will power over. Wonder if I ever will? But, it was good! We all need a little treat now and then!

@TKW....good job in only eating a few! I know what you mean about chocolate. I secretly wish I were allergic to it. I have done well since my band but I don't deprive myself. When I want it--I make sure it is good chocolate---and just have a taste. I don't keep any around---it is a purposeful event when I have it.

@ravendays....i wiped the word "cheat" right from my vocabulary. It implies that I can start or stop my lap band lifestyle and I CAN"T. Having said that---for the first time in a very long time, I have control over food and not the other way around. It sounds like you learned a little bit more about your band too!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
