It's normal to be hungry, remember that the first 4-6 weeks are for healing so don't count calories. Once you get to mushies or solids though you'll have to really minimize what you eat so it doesn't get stuck and so you don't get overfull too quickly.

You're lucky that you can have yoghurt. For the first week I could have Clear Liquids and Protein Shakes. I had broth and then a couple hours later the shake. I did that for three meals. I would disagree about not watching calories at all. Believe it or not I have read of people having ice cream or McDonalds shakes because they were liquid! In general my Nut says to stay at 1200 cals a day.

Have more shakes!!! I had 3 or 4 a day. Make sure you get at least 60 grams of Protein, that should keep you full, the pudding and broth have no nutritional value, so it's not going to satisfy you. For me, I had the shakes, then if I wanted to taste something else I would have broth or a pudding, but I didn't consider the other liquids "food"

that diet sounds optimal for losing weight! A lot of little meals over the day! Don't worry, you will lose weight even if you don't this first few weeks.....

Well my husband just ran out to the store and got me Muscle Milk Light to try. Not that bad. I can drink these I think. So hopefully I can get more Protein in me with these ready made shakes.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
