Omg! it's really happenin'!!!

Recommended Posts

I'm on my way to the city to stay overnight. Surgery is tomorrow @ 9 a.m.! It's snowing and there is a blizzard warning. My step daughter hurt her foot at school, my boyfriend had a late drs appt putting us on the road late, and I feel like I'm getting a sore throat. I hope God isn't trying to tell me not to do this...

We got here safely and I'm excited to have my last thing of yogurt and Protein Shake for supper. I've lost 15 lbs on my pre op liquid diet and feel my sciatic pain getting better.

I drank my magnesium citrate at noon and had my first ever experience with poop pouring out of me..

but my colon is clean for surgery! Lol

Well surgery was at 10 a.m. this morning and went beautiful! Love my doctor for sucking out the gas, etc! No gas pain and I think its a good time for a nap! I've already peed twice and went for a walk! :)

When I weighed in this am I had lost 13 lbs on my pre op diet!

My doc says it only takes an extra 2-3 minutes but most surgeons don't take the time to do it...sad that they don't realize it helps their patients so much! My doc is so down to earth, hasn't let his credentials go to his head!

The best part is I'm at 288 this a.m.!!! Have only been walking to shop and to loosen up a bit. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
