How exciting! I would be more than happy to Jaramipa. My surgery went well you all. I was in a little pain after, but the pain meds they kept giving me made it much better  I went home about 2 1/2 hours post op with minimal pain and a bit of nausea. I took my meds, had some broth and napped the rest of the evening and I feel much better. It wasn't too bad and I thank you ALL for your kind words and warm wishes. This is going to be an awesome journey and I look forward to us sharing/experiencing it together!

Congrats! Hope it comes soon for you. I initially went through Beverly Hills Physicians and opted for one of their surgeons, but through his private practice. Dr. Michael Feiz.

Hello everyone

So I had my surgery and it went very well. I had a bit more pain than I thought I would first day but everyday I am getting better. My doctor is dr Joseph naim. If anyone is considering this you def need to look him up. Absolutely amazing doctor.

I am finding it a little difficult to drink as it seems very tight and kinda like heart burn but it seems to be getting better today. Hopefully in a few more days it will be even better. Congrats hopefullyhappy I'm glad to hear ur surgery went well. Def gonna be a great journey

Hey thisisme. I feel fine, just been getting lots and lots of rest! Haven't heard from my surgeon since though and feeling extremely abandoned. Like he just wanted the money, did the job, and poof he's gone! Im feeling very alone, depressed, and angry!

hopefully happy, I hear ya! I would be one unhappy camper if my surgeon stopped communicating with me. I think in one of your posts somewhere I read that you have an appointment to see him. May I suggest that you speak with him and ask him what the routine is now that you are post op. Who do you call with questions, concerns, what type of follow up can you expect from him.

Most surgeons do not see their patients after surgery until the office visits. With that said, I met with mine before the surgery, while I was doing my pre=op testing and right before the surgery and then on my office visits. During the overnight stay he had an internist check in with me to make sure that I was doing well.

Don't waste time with could have, ought to haves, and what should have beens, just gather your questions and meet with him and find out what the expectation is.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
