Went to the doctor today. Sick as a dog (not due to lapband)...Anyway I got on the scale and realized I am now 162lbs, a total of 90 lbs lost since surgery 2/8/11!

I will word it another way.
If you drink to much Booze, and eat what ever you feel like. How can you expect GOOD RESULTS down the road. Especially from empty calories.
You say your not a Alcoholic ! Can you put the bottle down, and leave it alone? Or if you were to start drinking, would you be like This Is Mine All Night Long !
As far as a Junk food Junkie... Well I am Banded too for almost 5 yrs.. Tell me again why your disappointed. I'm sure you can figure it out.
Go spill all this to a Food Counselor, and let them tell you what you have going on. Maybe then you will believe someone.
You said you wanted TOUGH LOVE ! Well there it is. Either Deal with it, or don't be to shocked when you find yourself in for a major let down. And the control is all up to you.

OMG, I just knew the "it's a tool" people were gonna come and preach to you. So sick of that.
Your fills are twice the cost of mine, and when they start coming out of my pocket I will be having a chat with the doc!!! Have you tried talking to him to give you more cc's in the fill, or maybe they will set up payments? Surgery is a lot of money and you should have your fills and get your money's worth!!!

my surgeon is one of the most respected surgeons in Ohio. he's the reason i chose to drive 4 hours to his office and hosptial for my surgery. i met him during my initial consultation and liked him on the spot.
i saw him for a few minutes before my surgery and then never saw him again. i thought for SURE he'd check up on me in the hospital but he didn't. i thought for sure i'd see him for my first post-op appointment but i didn't. i admit, i was a little pissed off. after all the money i spent, i expected to see my surgeon.
then i thought about it. his job is to perform the surgery to the best of his ability... not necessarily post-op care unless there are complications. i wanted HIM to perform my surgery... and he does a lot of surgeries a week... he just doesn't have time to do the follow-up care.
but, he does answer all his emails himself and they're usually answered within 24 hours. i've had some scary episodes that i needed his advice on and he WAS there when i needed him. he surrounds himself with the best office staff too.
so, i was upset in the beginning about not seeing him post-op but now i understand that he needs to continue to do what he does best... surgery!

The day is finally here. I can't believe it and it is a bit surreal. I was very fortunate in my whole lapband process. I started with the initial consult 1/08/11 and was blessed to have my surgery scheduled exactly one month later 2/08/11! I thank my awesome insurance Anthem Blue Cross, my awesome Dr's office Dr. Michael Feiz, and I thank my family and friends for their support. I am nervouse, excited, and so happy about what's to come. I am ready to claim my life back and prepared for the journey on the way
