sooo....this long pre-op process of almost over...surgery date Feb.7th! i'm so ready for the new journey to begin. I can't stop eating this week, but I start Pre-op liquid diet this Monday.

I am scared to death of surgery day. Stupid me, watched the actual lap band surgery on the internet and now i'm freaking out. I have a lot of emotions...i'm scared about the surgery, I'm anxious all the time, i can't picture myself thin again, I am afraid I will miss eating food, I didn't tell people I was having surgery and I am so sick of the negative comments - i dont want people to ask how i am loosing weight. BUT I AM SOOOOO EXCITED and READY for this. LOOKING FOR SUPPORT COMMENTS. :)

Hi-

I am also being banded on 2/7. You post is as if I wrote it. I feel exactly the same way you do. I am excited, scared, anxious, etc. Since we are starting this journey together lets try to help and support each other. I know I will need help along the way.

This is an opportunity to finally do the right thing and take control of our health and wellbeing. We can do this...one day at a time.

We diserve this!

I hope you will stay in touch so we can share our triumphs and challenges!!!

Enjoy the day!

Ally

Hi Mel--

I am getting banded on 2/10 and can so totally relate to the questions/freak out moments right now! But everytime I start to freak out I keep my goal in mind and it's still more powerful than the doubts, maybe that will help you too?

Please be sure to keep me posted on how everything goes!!

Jen

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
