Well, I have to say, with all of my nerves bundled up and everything, it's about time. I'm finally able to meet my surgeon today, for the first time. It's a two hour drive to Louisville, KY from where I live. I'm not liking that but I think it's all going to be worth it. I'm just nervous about meeting him.

My nurse told me over the phone that she wanted me to get through this process and testing as fast as she could. That was yesterday, for some reason I get the phone call the day before with an opening for the next day. Hey, I'm not really complaining, I've been waiting almost four years to finally getting this ball going.

It's kind of like I'm on a roller coaster and so far I've only been going up hill and now I'm finally starting to make the big jump into the next scene. Nervous about today ad hopefully on nerves, I can get by.

Dear Kourtney93,

I totally understand you're nerves! The same thing happened to me. There was a sudden opening and I jumped at it. I am so so so glad I did. I love being banded. I haven't gotten a fill yet, but there is still a decrease in appetite. The hardest thing for me now is to learn to recognize when I am actually hungry and when I am eating out of habit. That one may take me a while to really sort out! Good Luck to you! Indigostorm

Yep I felt the same way, also drove 2 hrs...then got there, got out of the car...almost threw up...my dh reminded me we are just talking to people today and getting some perspective from people who know this road. It will be fine and you will know what you are getting yourself into after this meeting. :) Good luck! IT will go great.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
