I'm pretty close to goal and I can feel my port, but I have been able to all along though now it is more prominent and I don't have to feel around for it. My surgeon automatically put a low profile port in, so no, it won't poke out like the normal ones once I am at my goal weight.

Mine is getting harder to feel...I think it's tearing away from the abdominal wall, but I'm still losing weight.

I have always been able to feel mine, and like you I always have to feel it lol I hope that I wont be able to see it once im at goal, they also gave me a low profile port at surgery because they place it close to the ribs, I always lose weight first in m upper body, above the wast, boobs n belly hahha so i specificlly asked for one but everyone is different, my friend can only see hers if she moves just right.

I can feel mine, but even now, 8 weeks post Tummy Tuck, I can't see it. And, that was the second thing I looked at when I took off the bandages! I have a low profile port, and it's placed just to my left of center just above my belly button (which is SOOO cute now).

Congrats on the new belly button! :(

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
