I just wanna cry

Recommended Posts

This whole week i've been struggling to loose bouncing between 201-203. I was getting anxious because of my goal to be under 200 by xmas.

So today i weighed my and it said 197.5 I was so happy, i ran to grab my camera (took 30 seconds to get it)...and when i got back on it said 203...WHAT THE HELL. WHY WHY WHY??? Why can't i break that 200 mark. I just wanna cry and eat a freaking chocolate cake, cause obviously i ain't going to make my mini goal.

thanks for letting me vent, I'm ready to throw the scale out the window.

Desi, take a deep breath...you are letting the scale run your life. If you miss your goal by a couple of days...don't sweat it...you didn't gain the weight overnight and you won't lose it overnight. You know you will get to your goal..just gonna take a little time. relaxxxxxxxx! :-)

I know, i know. I just don't get how i could gain 6lbs in 30 seconds LOL. Of course i know the reason, i probably was just standing on the scale wierd or something, but that minute of pure joy just to have it ripped out from under me was awful. So now I have moved my camera and its sitting on the counter in the bathroom, so i don't have to move off the scale to take the picture, and the scale can't play its nasty tricks on me anymore!

Des, My scale can have a mind of its own sometimes. Its digital and sometimes it gets lazy and just gives me the same numbers as the last time - for days. I get mad and pull the batteries out so it has to start over. scales - can't live with them and (I) can't live without them.

I would take the 197 reading to mean that you are close but the scale likes your old numbers. Give it time to adjust  . Celeste

oooh pulling out the battery GREAT IDEA. I noticed the same thing with my digital scale, that the numbers tend to stick. I can weigh with clothes and shoes on, strip and go the bathroom, and weigh MORE or the same. I switch it to KG and then back over to lbs, but that didn't work... i'm gonna have to try the battery thing!

I don't believe in digital scales at all. I find much, much better results on the old fashioned kind. I have a digital scale from Weight Watchers and that thing is totally unreliable. It can give a seven-pound variation from one minute to the next! On the other hand, my old fashioned scale is always, always the same unless I've lost or gained. If I step on it and shows a loss, I can step on it again and again and it will show the same number, until the next time I gain or lose. Throw out the digital scale and get an old fashioned one!

Don't fret hun. I own a digital scale as well, and unless I put it in the exact same spot everytime, it is not correct!I HATE IT TO!!! But you are gonna make it~~you have a whole two days to do it!! Good luck!!rainbow.gif

Desi, deep breath..a little piece of advice that helped me..stop obsessing about the numbers on the scale. Do not weigh yourself everyday. I did it too.. we all did ,but after a few months of obsessing I told myself I was only going to weigh once a week. It works! The scale moves

Think of all of the other great Non Scale victories you have achieved since your band, do not let the scale dictate your success or failures. STOP WEIGHING YOURSELF SO OFTEN!

hang in there it will happen when you least expect it

Thanks for posting this. I had my husband hide the scale (digital) a while back. Well I found it..

It is simply amazing how a stupid number on a machine can completely dictate my mood.

This post has me ready to resolve to hide the damm thing again!:ogre

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
