OKay, I am not quite 2 weeks post op. I understand the need for blended foods but I have to tell you, I can't wait to eat something with FLAVOR!! With texture.......anything but a #@!% Protein shake!

Sorry....I am not really hungry but I am sick of the monotony of the post op diet. I didn't obsess about food before surgery, but let me tell you, I do now!!! I go to soft foods on Tuesday and I think I have my first 2 days already planned, bite by bite.

Thanks for listening to my whine.

I was just banded on 10/27 and I just could not stick to the liquid diet because I was feeling so sick and my stomach would not stop growling. I have a little food chopper and have been putting everything in it. I was taking a regular can of Soup and putting it through there so I had more flavor and felt like I was actually eating something. I even put a container of mixed vegatables in there and it was so good and it didn't bother meat that it was nothing but mush, it still tasted the same to me! I guess we just have to be a little experimental when it comes to the foods we can eat now since everything has to be soft and mushy.

When I was on the 2 weeks of full liquids I made some homemade Soups. Homemade always tastes more flavorful. You should try to make some homemade Soups that you like!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
