Sick of BLAH food...

OKay, I am not quite 2 weeks post op. I understand the need for blended foods but I have to tell you, I can't wait to eat something with FLAVOR!! With texture.......anything but a #@!% Protein shake!

Sorry....I am not really hungry but I am sick of the monotony of the post op diet. I didn't obsess about food before surgery, but let me tell you, I do now!!! I go to soft foods on Tuesday and I think I have my first 2 days already planned, bite by bite.

Thanks for listening to my whine.

I was just banded on 10/27 and I just could not stick to the liquid diet because I was feeling so sick and my stomach would not stop growling. I have a little food chopper and have been putting everything in it. I was taking a regular can of soup and putting it through there so I had more flavor and felt like I was actually eating something. I even put a container of mixed vegatables in there and it was so good and it didn't bother meat that it was nothing but mush, it still tasted the same to me! I guess we just have to be a little experimental when it comes to the foods we can eat now since everything has to be soft and mushy.

When I was on the 2 weeks of full liquids I made some homemade Soups. Homemade always tastes more flavorful. You should try to make some homemade soups that you like!
