Hello All,

I was banded in early July. I've had four fills with fluoro. Each time I go in my band is 'wide open' and after the fill it appears that I have appropriate restriction. I have 2 days of liquids and 2 days of soft food and then it's as though I've never had a fill. The last 2 fills we have checked the band volume and found it significantly less than it should have been. Tomorrow I'm going in for a port revision to try to get this band working. It's very frustrating that I've wasted 4 of my fills on a leaking band, but I'm ready, really ready, to get some restriction and get this thing working for me.

Anyone else have this experience?:blushing:

The same thing happened to me. After 3 difficult fill attempts under flouro, doc realized my port was flipped and there was a leak. It was frustrating, and I felt that I wasted 4 months.

Keep the faith - it will get better! The port revision surgery was a breeze. It took three fills after the revision to get to really good restriction. Now the weight is coming off consistently, and I am so happy!!

Don't let it get you down. Just keep moving forward.

Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
