I'm so glad you're feeling better. Didn't you do that DS surgery, or are you thinking about it. I know you posted something about it, but forgive the senior moments.

Hey Michelle, where are you?

I'm here..Im doing very good. However Iam not so fortunate to still feel as if I have my band. No restriction whatso ever. I have NOT gained any weight back so for that Iam thrilled. I have lost 1 or 2 lbs since my removal. I'm still working as if i have a band following the bandster rules, just food goes down easier. Thanks for thinking of me Francesca. did you get my message this week?

Thanks for thinking of me Francesca..

I love you friend :)

MIchelle,

I was so glad to see this thread. I think about you often!

Funny how unbanding is just as different as banding. One has restriction from scaring - and like you, another struggles with the head games.

Please keep in touch. I dont mind giving you my email add so we can stay in contact.

Good luck to you both Francesca and Michelle! I know you both will continue to do well with your health and maintaining your weight loss! you both are so strong and bring us all to see that there is life after being banded and that strength comes from within and that no matter what you are both a great success! You both are such an inspiration to me!

My little mind readers :(

Michelle, I have you on my list of calls to make tonight. I'm going to fight the battle with you gals. I have my endo this week, so I have to liquid-fast tomorrow, then after the endo, I plan on starting WW with my bypass friend. She started last week and said the MEANEST thing to me. She said, "Lisa, you don't have to start WW with me, but don't be upset when I'm 40 pounds thinner in a few months and you're not." GEEZE, I wanted to slap her for being so damn right! I can't let that happen, now can I?

I miss you, it's good to see you.

Hey bandless and portless buddies... please be sure to check out the "Self Regulation" article I put up in support. I think it has some info that might be especially useful for those of you relying on willpower alone!

I wanted to say how much I admire you both for sticking with the "rules" even now. You are both wonderful women, and I'm so glad that you're both still here.

I wish you both continued success in your journies.

Thanks guys. You all are the best!

I have to confess. I have my period right now, it just started yesterday and last night I went to eat dinner and I got the golf ball feeling like my band was still there, it was the first time it has happened since my removal so it has to have something to do with being on my period.

Paula I would love your email address to keep in touch

Paula I would love your email address to keep in touch

No no no! You have to keep in touch here on the boards so we can all read! :( Michelle, you and Francesca are just as banded without the band...don't go underground, we need you! On the other hand, Paula is a sweet friend and sends funny e-mails when you are on her list...go for it!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
