Butter Cup,

From my previous experince, the Lexapro didn't really start working for me until I started taking 40mg a day. Before that I felt some changes, but the realy "New Me" came after the 40 mg, so I say talk to your doc about using it a little more. My doc and pharmicist say that the Lexapro stops working once you exceed 60mg/day which is a high dose, but before that there is much more room for good results.

I originally started welbutrin to quit smoking, but I also had some depression- so my doc kept me on it long term. I've been on it for almost 3 years now. When I first started the welbutrin, I was able to see life as "half full" and lost 86lbs on Atkins. My willpower and determination were unstoppable. I'm not really sure what happened, but suddenly I lost track of that determination and slowly have gained back around 75lbs. I still have some depression issues, but nothing compared to how I was before.

Magic- I gained 100lbs the first year I got married. I married at the age of 17 and moved 5 states away from my parents. I couldn't get far enough away from them, but guess where I am now? About 10 miles away from them :) So, unlike you, it wasn't from medication- but it is possible! :)

wow, the majority of bandsters are crazies like me!

You know...if the majority of us are nuts, doesn't it seem likely that it's *everyone else* who really has a problem? LOL

I take 10 mg of Lexapro and Wellbutrin XL. I'm guessing that I'll have to switch to Wellbutrin twice a day after surgery instead of the extended release ones since I can't crush them without messing with the time release.

I'm on Effexor XR (time release). I just got banded in Mex and one of the other patients was a pharmacist. He said once I get restricted and can't take 'em whole anymore to open it up and sprinkle it on some applesauce or the like. It should do fine. I hope so cuz it's still working for me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
