am i gaining to much?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone my name is Ashley I am 22 years old and was banded in april of 09 right after easter! The surgery went well, and i have lost about 65 lbs in a year. I found out i was pregnant with my 2nd baby July, and although I am as happy as can be, and my little one seems to be doing just fine the numbers on the scale get a little depressing. I mean i just worked my tush off for a year to loose those 65 lbs and now i get to watch them be added on. Everyone says i look great, and i do feel great when i was pregnant with my first son i felt horrible the whole time, and just really un healthy. this pregnancy has litterally been a breeze. i mean little morning sickess in the beginning, food aversions, kinda hormonal, but those have all leveled out now. I started my pregnancy at 214 then by week 12 i weighed 208. mind you i go in about every month. next appt i weighed 212 and my last apt i weighed 218. no weighing myself i weight 223 I am 21 weeks prego so just over 5 months and total if you count from were i started my pregnancy at 214 i have gained 9 lbs. I am trying my best to be healhty as possible, and eat right but i seem to have a much bigger appetite. I have not gotten unfilled at all but have not gotten filled anymore either obviously. I know i have to gain weight i just dont want to loose all this hard work. I guess im asking if im on track right now. if what im experiancing weigh gain wise is normal and healthy for someone with a lapband!!! any support and even crticism would be really helpful it is very important to me that both me and baby come out healthy from this prego!!! oh btw Baby girl due febuary 16th via c section

I have put on about 20 pounds. I would try not to worry too much about the gain. Most of it will come off right after the baby is born. And I always said that if I did it once, I can do it again. The baby weight is just a slight set back.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
