 Hi, I'm Nina , aged 42.

I'm from the UK and live down in the lovely south west Dorset countryside with my partner Dean and our two sons aged 9 and 11. Both are autistic so never a dull moment!

I am a stay-at home Mum at the moment and I had my band placed in Summer 2008.

I started my band journey at 350lbs and I have lost 129lbs to date.

Just trying to persevere and lose the remaining 90lbs to reach a goal weight I feel would be right for me and hopefully never lapse back into unhelpful eating again.

I love spending time with the family, Music ,gardening, video games and exercising.

Always happy to meet banders and swap tips and I look forward to checking out the forum and getting to know some new friends x

Thank you Annie and Debbie!

I have to say it is so refreshing to be on an entire site of banders and see so much positivity!

I am on a forum that's UK based and very biased towards bypassers...the mood is very anti-band there and it's really hard to feel good about my choice of operation.

Being here has really given me a morale boost and I am enjoying reading around the threads and getting a feel for the place.

Thankyou so much ladies for welcomming me and your kind words xxxx

I think you'll love it here. Everyone is so supportive and it's a great group of people. Following the blogs is also very helpful.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
