Question about post fill diet

Recommended Posts

I am just wondering what exactly is the point of Clear Liquids, then liquids after a fill. I am starving and I have just had my second fill. I am on day two and they told me full liquids today then when I feel hungery go to mushies. Well hello I was hungry 30 mins after I walked out of the drs office. Is this normal.

This is only my second fill I am at 4.0 cc in a 10 band. Any input would be great.

Thanks

I just had my 2nd fill yesterday as well I'm at 5cc's in a 10cc band. The Dr told me 2 days full liquids, 2 days mushies, 2 days soft then regular diet. Now with my 1st fill the NP told me 24 hours full liquid than regular. I wish they could get together and decide!! So I'm doing liquids all day today and I'm going to attempt chicken tonight!!! This stuff make you CRAZY!!!

I was told by my Dr. that it usually takes 4cc just to fill the band not really causing any restriction. The reason for liquid diet is when they start to fill the band it may cause swelling & you do not want to irritate stomache/esophagus any more. Also that's why you feel like you have restriction at 1st then it goes away. From what I was told & from most of the people who post here it takes from 3 or more fills to reach your "sweet spot" My Dr put in 4.5cc at time of surgery & my 1st fill was 1.5cc so for a total of 6cc. I have no restriction & have not even had a stuck moment (I do cut up everything very small &chew everything really good) I get my next fill in 3wks. Im hoping to get some kind of restriction by 3rd fill. Till then I have to live by will power alone. Make healthy food choices & I do walk 4 miles everyday + some kind of intense workout for at least 30 min 5 days a week. Good luck to all :blushing:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
