so i lost around 20 or 30 lbs and i didnt really do anything and didnt really notice i lost it untill now.

Now i want to keep loosing and im afrade of everything i put in my mouth will add the lbs, over the past few days i think im driving my self crazy, on the scale every day, feeling sad if i eat something that although is still good for me that i feel like i shouldn't have eaten (even though my bf reassures me its fine)

My question is, is this even slightly normal? if it is how to you keep your self from doing it? if its not normal what should i do?

AND also what is the difference between this and motivation??

Just guessing here but I would say that in the past everytime you have lost weight sooner or later you have stopped losing or been unable to sustain the loss and you feel this time will be exactly the same. You daren't eat anything that will upset the trend and cause it to stop or even reverse??? sound familiar?

Things are different this time Mixi, you have had your engine modified!!

Now it has to run on different fuel, higher grade, more concentrated, so be careful what you put into it but don't feel guilty because negative thoughts will not help your progress.

You are learning how to travel along this highway the right way and if you take a few wrong turns then don't stress, just get back to where you were headed.

If you follow the directions you were given then you will get to where you want to go. Detours will slow you down but if you spend most of your time going the right way then they will not change your destination :-D

Sometimes it's good to take the pressure off and take the scenic route

Good luck and don't be so hard on yourself...smile...seratonin help!

thank you. that really helped.

i'm afraid to fail, but i have to remind my self everyday that it will be ok and i have to do what i have to.

the only people who know i have had this done even is my mother, my bf and his mom and dad, and my best friend . i didn't tell my family because i'm afraid they will make a huge deal about it and pressure me about losing weight rapidly, "its been 3 months and your still not thin yet? why did you go through all the trouble then?" my family is pretty stupid sometimes.

so it makes it harder because i only have a few people to talk about it with and the only real supporter is my bf.

thats why i really love this site (we have to be there for each other) AND your response, it made me think a little harder into my self. and thats a super good thing.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
