Liquid Tylenol and Liquid Advil where do you buy it???

I was told I could take liquid Tylenol when I return to work in replacement of the prescribed Hyrdrocodone which makes me drowsy. I looked for it at Walmart, couldn't find it, I asked the pharmacist and she told me that there was no liquid Tylenol and that I have to use liquid children's Tylenol. I took it today and it didn't take away the pain. I took 400mg the same amount I would take if I were taking the pill form. I ended up taking the Hydrocodone.

Where did you guys find your liquid Tylenol and Advil?

I have no idea, I tried a few places like CVS and Target and I was told by the pharmacist that it was recalled.

Yes brand name liquid Tylenol was recalled and probably wont be back until at least Christmas time. You have to buy the generic versions... They have it at drugstores and big box stores around me.

I recently bought liquid Tylenol at RiteAid (Adult Version).

Walgreens has it in the Adult section where all other pain relievers are sold

I just got liquid tylenol at cvs.. but i cant take it - every time i do i throw it up minutes later

By the way, I was told several times that band patients can not take advil post op since it thins the blood and contributes to ulcers in band patients. Tylenol is OK.

My local Wal-Mart carries adult liquid tylenol.

my local food shop - Hannaford's carries it. here's the site to check the recall if anyone's worried about it.

MCNEIL PRODUCT RECALL

asked the pharmacist and she told me that there was no liquid Tylenol and that I have to use liquid children's Tylenol.

I'm hoping this pharmacist was referring to the recall instead of actually not knowing that Tylenol came in a liquid form for adults. Kind of scary considering I do shop at Walmart. Though when I know I'll need to ask a question I tend to go to other drug stores.

Ask if you can take a BC powder. It doesn't taste great but the liquid Tylenol was too sweet for me. I also use Goodys headache powders in Orange flavor. It works great!!

walgreens.com and cvs.com both sell it

I had a hard time finding liquid adult acetaminophen, too--my pharmacist ordered it.

I was told NO Advil (or other NSAIDs) at all, post-banding, so check with your doctor about that before taking it.

I've seen the liquid adult tylenol in most drug stores and both supermarkets I go to... but it only comes in cherry flavor... ICK... didn't want to be gagging after surgery!!! I just went with the junior tylenol meltaways in grape... 6 of them is 960 mg which is fine for a 1000 mg dose.

I got my Tylenol brand liquid at CVS.

Liquid Advil is a no, no post surgery.

As for the liquid tylenol, I asked the same question on Bandedliving.com because I too was told by a not a clue pharmacist that there was no such thing as liquid Tylenol. She said the only liquid is children's Tylenol and that I would have to take a mega-dose for it to be effective .

Some Tylenol has been recalled but not the adult liquid.

You have to go to a few places to find it but I found mine at Duane Reade in NY and at Rite-Aid. I have 3 bottles now since it is so hard to find.

You have to shop around for it .

To me the taste of liquid Tylenol is not bad about on the level of Nyquil perhaps a tad milder.
