I'm 7 weeks out and have had a horrible problem with dizziness the past week or so, after having had none since surgery. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out what was causing it? So far I've ruled out low blood pressure and an inner ear infection.

I get really dizzy from 3 things: low hydration, low carbs (energy), or low calories. I am almost possitive it is one of these of the combo of a couple. I am 14 months post op and I got through dizziness a lot

Thank you so much. If anything, it would have to be the hydration. I had to give up my beloved Dr. Pepper when I got the band so have been drinking a ton of coffee, which I'm sure doesn't help. Gonna keep drinking Water and see if that does it.

How low is too low when you talk about carbs and calories? Have you found that the nausea contributes to low calorie intake?

Ask your Doc about all this, but generally anything less than 800 cals. is considered 'starvation mode'. My dizziness, (actually fainted twice, never have before) after some testing, was probably due to dehydration...you NEED a minimum of 64oz. of Water or SF flavored water and I work to get near a gallon...like you said, if you drink coffee (I have 3 cups a day), you'll need more than the 64oz. and the coffee doesn't count. Hope you're feeling better soon!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
