Recommended Posts

Hi i have a delema, a week before my period i am so tight i sometimes cant even keep food down, and it last up to 3 days after my period. I dont know what to do. Anyone else dealing with this. Help i can you use any suggestions all but getting an unfill. I have lost 200 lbs in 19months and have 80 more to go. I just feel bad that i dont eat during this time.

I've just had a similar thing but it only lasted for a couple of days and it was the first time it happened. I will be keeping a careful watch for it next month as it caused me a few problems and I didn't work it out until the second day.

With regards to having an unfill, I guess that would depend on what your restriction is like the rest of the month. If you don't want an unfill then I you may be ok if you can drink liquids. Stock up on Protein drinks, supplement drinks etc for the days you are unable to eat solids. Obviously you can only weather it if your periods are regular and you can still drink liquid easily.

Good luck :-)

Knowing what's the problem is half the solution.

same thing happens to me when i get my period. that's when i start drinking more Protein shakes and v8 type drinks. i also spent the past week and half sick with a bronchial infection that made me so tight i could barely eat. it's getting better now, but i know in a week i'll be doing more liquids because my period is coming - blah.

i think i'm going to try and stick it out though, because i hear so much about people getting unfills and then refills and not feeling the same restriction. i guess i don't want to mess with anything until i'm at goal.

can you keep liquids down at least?

I get really tight for a couple of days during my period too; I usually have to go to liquids for a day or two during. There is NO way I'm going to get an unfill every single month for that when I know it passes. Two visits to the doctor every single month for as long as I have the band? No thanks!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
