I was banded last Friday, July 16th, and everything was going great. As of last night I have been getting a terrible pain in the right side of my upper stomach, right below my ribs. It can be so painful that it is hard to walk. I'm pretty sure it is not gas pains (or gallbladder) as it feels almost like a stitch in my side. I only feel the pain when I'm up walking, not when I'm lying down or sitting.

I called the surgeons office today and she said that most people complain about the left side--something to do with nerve endings.

Has anyone else dealt with this? They said if it keeps happening I'm going to have to go back and see the Dr. (100 mi away). It has made me very nervous--what could it be?

Hope someone has advice. Thanks in advance.

Yes. was gas pain for me, and as much as walking hurts, it helps over time. I took infant gas drops and walked like no1's business, lol. It hurt like HELL, but it ended up getting the air loose and making it better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
