Hi Everyone,

well, I am home-came home last night and all I can say is yikes! Was definatly worse than I though. The gas pains were not that bad until today. Without sounding dramatic- I really hope this was worth it. I just feel I have really hurt my body. I guess I expected to be better off than this.

sorry to sound so down, I guess I an just emotional right now.

Well can't really sit here long, I just wanted to check in.

Hi, everyone!

I'm so glad you are all here, and I can come running here for cover when I need to! Why, you ask? Well, I tried to resist posting on the "Presidential Library lost" thread, but I did. I actually resisted yesterday and last night, but today, in my Quest for fairness and justice, I found myself posting an opposing opinion. Now, I'll get lambasted (sp?) for sure! Do you think I was right or wrong to post the opposing viewpoint? Ya'll know me pretty well...and do you have an opinion of political postings in general? Me, I'd rather not discuss politics on this board, because disagreements over that can affect the support available for each other. I confess, I do have strong opinions and viewpoints, and I am conservative in nature. So, will you advise me, please? How badly did I goof up? I probably should have just ignored it....urrggghh!

The "Lose 10 pounds free" card is just an imaginary card, like you would find in Monopoly. I told Patty she deserved one because she is doing such a great job juggling all her responsibilites, and with a good attitude to boot!

Betty, where do you live again? I know it's up here in North Texas somewhere. I just feel like I should come by and help you out with all those cookies! LOl!

I've gotta go right now, but I am truly interested in your opinions about the above-mentioned post/ and the subject in general. I don't mind being told I'm off-base, so tell me the truth.

Love ya, Cindy

LISA !!! We all know how you feel girl but I can tell you 8 weeks out and 29 lbs down that YES, its so worth it. You'll feel better in a few days, don't you worry. Its not easy getting thru the first few weeks of liquids but girl, it is so worth it. I put on a pair of pants this morning that were to tight a few weeks ago and they are now actually baggy... gotta love it. You'll see. Hang tight, you've made it.

Cindy, don't you worry about your post. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, people just have to understand that and put it aside. Now I'm curious to what that thread is about lol. Don't you worry, we love you.

Betty you have to take pictures of the mice, that sounds sooooooooooo cute. Its very cold up here, freezing this morning. Beanie and I are going to a Japanese rest. today for dinner  YUM!!!!!

Irene, I am so sorry, I have been working 4-12 all week and I see you are leaving tomorrow, so there is no way we can meet. I really wanted to say hi in person.

Eilleen, WOW 30 lbs! Congratulations!

Cindy, if everyone was in agreement, there would be no point in posting. Get them fired up, it helps the metabolism get going.

Lisa, Congrats and welcome home. It will be worth it. Just give it about a week.

Awwww Cindy, don't feel bad about posting what you think. I think most of it was in fun, at least when I said I got an email about him too, that is what I thought it was all about just joking. I get mad at him too, but don't we all at times? All in all, I think he is doing pretty good. I say stand up for what you believe in. I too don't want to get into a politics thread, it is always a no win situation. There are lots of threads that I read but don't post on just for those reasons. I thought what you said was very good! Hey, come on over and I'll give you some Cookies and milk and you will feel lots better! :D

Eileen - I just put the finishing touches on the mice, I will take a picture when they get dry. They turned out kinda cute if I say so myself! :D

Lisa - Hang in there, it really does get better with each day. Walk when you can, sip lots of liquids, and use a heating pad for shoulder pain.

Ivan - Sorry you are working so much! I miss your posts when you aren't here.

I am mopping my kitchen floor and sweeping up the carpets. I keep trying to keep up with all the sugar messes, but I think it all got away from me yesterday.

Thanks for the support...I had never thought about it Ira's terms of firing up the metabolism! That's a great way to look at it! LOL! I know, Betty, I don't post on some threads for those reasons. I also thought it was just a funny, haha, but as it went it got less funny (to me). it just seems to me that if we can post about sex toys and stuff, we can also post about faith and values. I think I'm just being perverse. :D I know Cookies and milk would help, and YOUR cookies in particular, Betty.

Lisa, hang in there, honey. You can do this. Let us know if we can help. Rest, sip, and walk. In moderation, of course! (Darn it!)

I have been wanting to post some pictures....well, I mean TAKE some pictures to post (ha!), but I just don't have it together. I still have my good intentions, though. Now, where's my maid? My house is a total disaster. I like Patty's idea that no one will remember the clutter, just the memories. but what if you live in a virtual Ebay warehouse? We even built an extra building to hold all the stuff. I swear I'm not kidding. So, I think there's gonna have to be an Ebay moratorius from this weekend until Christmas, so some of the stuff listed is out of the house!

Thanks for listening....I LOVE your Christmas ducks, Betty!

Betty, the mice are adorable, lets see a cherry, a kiss, pecans slices for the ears, what else? Oh yeah, my package (with all the candy) hasn't arrived, but I'm sure it's just because the postal service is so busy. I'm a patient lady. Oh, if you were late mailing it, throw in a few mice, LMAO.

Lisa hope you're feeling better, Cindy, had our Red Hatter Christmas party yesterday, we had these cute drinks, poinsettias, champagne, cranapple juice, white grape juice, orange liquor, yummmm.

Oh yeah, started the wrapping today, the poinsettia drink came in handy.

Pat, MMmm, those poinsettia drinks sound wonderful! (If I still drank....oh, well). I love wrapping presents, if you have all day! I do enjoy it, and have always liked doing it, it just always ends up being such a rush. Have fun! What about that XBOX? I'm going to have to get in a Red Hat group around here! I can't just be flying up to Virginia all the time! I loved the picture of you gson...I just want to kiss those cheeks!

I'm typing fast, because, as a matter of fact, I need to go help DD put bows on the 10 packages she is taking to school. They each bring a present for each of their classmates....the beauty of a small class!

Wishing you a holly, jolly time!

Cindy

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
