I had lapband on 5/26/10 at Peconic Bay Hosp in Riverhead, NY performed by Dr. P. Mehta.

Completely satisfied despite having open procedure secondary to previous surgery. Currently have drainage from operative site which is more of a housekeeping problem than medical. Had first fill yesterday.

I too was banded by Dr. Mehta! I just love her!

My surgery was March 24th and I have to say I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Including the pain. It was a small price to pay to becoming healthier! Congrats on being banded by an awesome surgeon and I wish you lots of luck in your new banded life! :)

I am very pleased with Dr. Mehta also. How do I get that BMI Bar on my posts?

Try this:

Novbeginning, go to the website, www.tickerfactory.com and create a pin number for yourself (remember it) and then continue on creating your ticker.

When you are finished, at the bb: box (the top one) at the end, highlight all the contents, right click and click "Copy".

Then come into this website and log in. Click on UserCP in the Menu Bar, then "Edit Signature" on the left. Then click in the big white box, then right click and click on "Paste". You should see your ticker appear. Go down to the bottom of the page and click on Save Changes.

When you want to change it, just go into UserCP, Edit Signature, and double click on your ticker at the top of the page. It will take you to the tickerfactory website, where you can log in (with your remembered pin number!) and make your changes.

Once finished, when you return to this site, your ticker will automatically be changed. Technology is fantastic!

I hope that helps :tt2:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
