I was banded! woot!

Recommended Posts

I was banded on Friday, and I've slept a lot. I haven't been able to take my narcolepsy meds, so I slept a lot longer than most people do in recovery. Surprisingly, my shoulder doesn't hurt at all! My back does, however. :)

They made four 1 1/2 inch incisions, and one 1/4 inch incision. I kind of miss being in the hospital, because I was able to have people catering to me. It's very difficult to play with the kids when I'm in pain. ugh.

It'll all be worth it though! Doctor says he actually leaves saline in the band during surgery, but I didn't ask him how much I've got. I have been feeling nauseous in the morning. :(

Hi there! I was banded Thursday, came home after and slept most of the day. Friday slept on and off but then did too much and have paid all weekend. Are you finding things to eat? I did only Water until last night and then did a popsicle. Today I have had a popsicle and have been working on yogurt on and off all day. I wish you well...if you find anything that's wonderful right now let me know!!

Pam

Congrats, Princess! I have really bad memory issues associated w/ my sleep disorder, so I can't remember when my doctor said I can start on stage 1 baby foods. I am pretty sure he said I could start that tomorrow, but to be on the safe side i'll wait until they open on Tuesday for me to double-check. :)

I do have a ton of baby food stocked up for when I'm ready. :(

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
