When should I worry???????????

Recommended Posts

Good day everyone! I was banded on 6/22/10. So far so good, a few gas pains here and there. I started a mushy diet this past Friday and that seems to be going well so far. However, I am a little concerned about bowel movements. Is it normal to go a few days without one? I know this might sound gross but I'm just worried. I haven't had one since day of surgery. I'm not sure if I should introduce a Fiber product or just wait it out. My mom has had severe issues when it comes to this topic so I'm very sensitive to it. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It's absolutely normal.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts to hurt or you get nauseous.

Try a daily stool softener if you want to help it along.

5 days for me. Think about it. You have been on liquids for how long? No solids in the system. Don't stress

Thanks for all the feedback! I'll just relax and see what happens! I started mushy foods on Friday. So far so good! I think each doctor has a different program. I could be wrong though! Good luck!

Miralax--mixes with Water and you cant even taste it. Works for me by the next day! Hope you feel better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
