Under 30 Lapbanders

Recommended Posts

I'm 26 and a week post op and I'm starting to soft foods. Since I haven't gone back to work or anything. Social my life hasn't change because I'm basically married and lead a boring life. Trying to move up the corporate letter!

Hi there, I am 28 and was banded on Nov 17 2009... It has been great for me. I am down about 84 pounds and still dropping. Socially, not a lot has changed. I have been pretty open about it from the start so my friends have been very supportive. I still drink, but that has slowed down a bit. I am just careful with it and take it one drink at a time. Dating has been somewhat of a challenge, but I have not done a whole lot of that because I am really trying to focus on myself for now. Anyway, good luck to all! Seems like everyone here is doing very well!

I am 26 but was banded on March 31 at 25. So far everything has been great. I thought it was going to be really difficult because I like to go out and party but my friends have been supportive and it's a lot easier than I thought it would be. I don't drink as much, I take it easy. It's been good on my pocket too. I haven't really been dating, focusing on me right now. When things seem hard, small compliment from people definitely help. And it's only a matter of time before you start getting them.n With my pre-op diet I have lost about 30 pounds, and have not have my first fill yet. I have about 10 days til then. This is probably the best decision I have made in my life and I already feel like a new person, and I am finally seeing the light at the end of what was once a very dark and long tunnel.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
