Are there foods you can eat when your band has no fill that you can't eat when you're at your sweet spot? I'm just wondering if the stickiness or clumpiness is a bigger issue when your band is tighter.

All solid food is a bigger issue when you get to restriction. Slider foods will probably at least most of the time, go down fine. This is when your choices of food make the biggest difference. Foods that are a bigger problem for some will not be for others. It is different for everyone so you just have to try things and figure it out. I can eat most everything, but if I try to just pick up a piece of chicken like a thigh and eat if off the bone, I will be throwing it up at some point. I have to take it off the bone and cut it up. Then it goes down fine... weird I know but it is what it is.... Hope this helps..... Hugs!!!!!

I had surgery March 9th and to this day i have found nothing that I can't eat. To the point that I gained 2 pounds. So back to the softer foods and have lost the 2 pounds again. Trying to stay on track again.

Well when you get restriction, this will all be different. You could need several fills before this happens. It depends on how agressive your doctor is with them. I had an agressive fill doc so I had restriction the first fill. Try to be patient Ok? Hugs.......

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
