Pre Op Diet starts tomorrow.

Recommended Posts

I start my pre-op diet tomorrow and I can say that I am really ready. I have known for a month when my surgery was and ate at the places I knew I wouldn't be going to for a while. And now I am over food. I am ready to start the pre-op diet and move right onto the surgery.

I get four Protein shakes a day and then at dinner I can either do Lean Cuisine/Smart Ones or 3 ounces of meat and 1/2 cup of vegetables.

I am so ready to move on that I hope that it all goes smoothly.

I went in today and had my pre-op lab work and EKG done and hope that it all looks good, the nurse said that the cardiologist would be happy with it so hopefully that is a good sign.

Just can't wait for the 13th of April to get here so I can move on and appreciate the gift I am receiving.

I don't think that I will ever be able to thank my doctor and the Lap-Band® people for the gift of banding. I know that I will have to pay taxes on it, but I wouldn't be able to do it any other way.

So, wish me luck on the pre-op diet and I will let you all know how the first few days go.

Best of luck to you! I know how you feel. I did so much Last Supper Syndrome eating I actually got tired of eating. I started a preop (my doctor did not require it) on March 8 and now I am down 16 pounds and my appetite is much reduced. I feel ready to have my surgery which is scheduled on April 7.

The frist few days are hard, but after that you appetite starts to go away. It gets better!

I'm starting my pre-op diet today, and also getting pre surgical testing in a few hours. I'm so nervous, but I know everything is worth it in the end.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
