Moreno Valley CA Support Group

Recommended Posts

My name is Desiree and I'm 3 years Post Op from the Lap Band Surgery. While the Lap Band was a positive thing for me, the weight loss is primarily due to exercise and careful dieting. I've been though a lot of diets and now knows what works for me!

I host a Lap Band Fitness Support Group every month in Moreno Valley for the Riverside County and Orange County areas. You're more than welcome to come and share and listen in. We had fun at our March session!

It's encouraging to meet and talk about our experiences and keeps us on track.

Contact me for info and I hope to meet you soon!

Thanks,

Desi

I am having lap band surg in two weeks and am feeling quite overwhelmed . . . I was hoping to talk with someone who had been through this already . . . I am 51 years old, the single mother of a 5 year old and I work full time as a Nurse Practitioner . . . I'm overwhelmed with life as it is but know I'd be so much better without this extre 100 pounds . . . I'm afraid I'll be sick or won't be able to keep up with the rigiorous demands required of the lapband program . . . where exactly are the support groups and/or is there anyone I could talk to ??? Thanks !

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
