My name is Desiree and I'm 3 years Post Op from the Lap Band Surgery. While the Lap Band was a positive thing for me, the weight loss is primarily due to exercise and careful dieting. I've been though a lot of diets and now knows what works for me!

I host a Lap Band Fitness Support Group every month in Moreno Valley for the Riverside County and Orange County areas. You're more than welcome to come and share and listen in. We had fun at our March session!

It's encouraging to meet and talk about our experiences and keeps us on track.

I am having lap band surg in two weeks and am feeling quite overwhelmed . . . I was hoping to talk with someone who had been through this already . . . I am 51 years old, the single mother of a 5 year old and I work full time as a Nurse Practitioner . . . I'm overwhelmed with life as it is but know I'd be so much better without this extre 100 pounds . . . I'm afraid I'll be sick or won't be able to keep up with the rigiorous demands required of the lapband program . . . where exactly are the support groups and/or is there anyone I could talk to ??? Easy parking is available one short block away in covered lot on 29th Street, between K and L streets. Costs $1 per hour.

This group was purposely set up so as NOT to conflict with the other support groups in the area.

Any and ALL band patients from ANY doctor or hospital is welcome to attend.
