Congratulations. And great weight loss.

I had my first mushies yesterday and feel just as excited - food that tastes like food, not sweet or milky. Still having a shake for Breakfast, and yoghurt for lunch. Not hungry. Have cheated a bit - supposed to start mushies on Thursday, but feel great, bought a blender and making them real mushy.

Happy days for you and me.

Thanks babsy ...I was just as excited to go onto Mushies too but after 2 weeks was glad to get off them again and onto the real stuff.. :smile2:

I blended everything spag.Bol and Pasta ...chicken and baked potato, Beans and Gravy .. Curried chicken veggies and rice...(just a samll bowl) it was so nice after all the sweet stuff , had Soup for lunch and porridge for breakie....It looked YUCK !! just like baby food but it tasted just like I was eating the real stuff....

Tonight I had a chicken thigh fillet dry pan fried a scoop of mashed potato with sweet potato, small spoon of Quinoa, a bit of broccoli and carrots with gravy (enough that fits on a bread and butter plate) , My hubby had the same only lots more on a big plate he was finished while I was only half way through :tongue2: eating slow, small mouthfuls and chewing well I have had no pain or problems...Havent tried bread yet will try a piece of toast tomorrow night with baked Beans or mabe a half a muffin toasted ..

I don`t cook Wednesdays is a easy night and everyone maked toasted sandwiches for themselves:thumbup:

Hope you enjoy your Mushie days , Keep up the good work ...

Night from me its late and I need my beauty sleep....

Majj, that sounds so yummy. Tonight I just had chunky beef & vegetable Soup blended. My hubby (stay at home house husband while I work full time) had to go out early, so we all looked after our own meals. What is quinoa? Never heard of it.

Hi Babs...

We all do our own thing on Wednesday nights too , I had a toasted muffin and a small can of weight watchers Baked Beans, and later for dessert a diet chocolate pudding (tub).... :scared2:

Quinoa is a seed that I saw cooked on Australia`s Biggest Looser show used in place of rice , I checked it out its a lot healthier for you and all the family liked it , I had no trouble eating it so I will use it quite often.. I got it in the health food section of the supermarket....

Heres the link on it...

Quinoa Nutrition Facts

Time for bed feeling sleepy tonight as I read very late last night....

Chat later...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
