surgery date for friday... might get postponed!

Recommended Posts

so yesterday i went for all my pre op stuff. everything was fine. had to see the gi doctor again to completely clear me for surgery on friday. he said all is well... except sunday i started exhibiting signs of an upper respiratory infection and it has been steadily getting worse. he put me on a z pack and said that it should be clear by thursday and if not, then they will have to postpone my surgery date for another day. so if i don't hurry and get better i won't be getting banned friday as planned!!! this is very upsetting. now i think i might be getting conjunctivitis in my left eye as well and i'm just like "why me???". lol has anyone else had their surgery postponed due to being sick or other health issues?

I had a sinus infection last week, my mom has strep, my husband has herpangina, and my son had a stomach virus that took him to the ER. I'm really hoping that the antibiotics I'm on help my immune system fight off the bad stuff! Just perfect timing since I have surgery in nine days. If I miss that window, I have to wait until May because my husband is in college. I'll be disappointed too if I can't have it as planned.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
