Hi ppl!gd day!

I will be checking in2 the hospital tmr and havin the surgery on tues.

I'm very nervous and scared right now, not sure whether i'm doin the rite thing.

This is my 1st major operation and i have no idea wat to expect even though i read up a lot abt the lap band and am sure i wana get it done. i think its the surgery itself that scares me.

At the same time i'm very excited too... Is this normal?? i want to cry and laugh at the same time... :think

Piece of cake! I was anxious the night before too. The medical staff will treat you like royalty and you will be very reassured. You'll do just great!!

You and I will be banded on the same day. I pray that all goes well for you! Mine is day surgery so I don't go in until Tuesday morning. God bless you!

Good luck to both of you, I will keep you both in my prayers for smooth and easy surgeries and swift recoveries.

Yes it is normal to feel both excited and scared, especially since you have never been through a surgery and you don't really know what to expect. But as surgeries go, this is one of the easier ones if you will because they do it laproscopically so it's less invasive and a quicker recovery time.

Best to you both!

Cindy

You will be good - we will be thinking about you. Take care and take it easy - try to feel peaceful. You made your decision - that was the hard part. Now just take it easy and let your body heal.

Take care - nancy

Good luck and being nervous is very normal but you will be glad you did it when it is over. Keep us posted.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
