how much do you eat? I am eating too much

Recommended Posts

so I just came across a post of mine from a year ago where I was disappointed with my stalled weight loss. When I posted a year ago, I was at 335. Today, I am at 230... which means over the past year, I have flucctuated around but am only 5 lbs light then I was a year ago and I am not eating that much.... at least that is what I thought.

I think the culprits for me are alchohol for sure (I drink Margaritas) = high in sugar

The other is that even though I am eating small amounts, I am eating the wroang things... it is still possible to wayy overeat (calories wise) in a small amount of food intake.

I am going to talk to my doc this week to see what he thinks about tightening things up... I am at 4.5cc fill on the Realize Band, but I think I need help from the band and from myself.

so... guys... what do you eat over the course of a day?

I am still early (2 weeks post op) so I follow my Dr's guidelines very closely. 4 oz of allowable mushy food 3X a day plus Protein Shakes in between and the occasional sugar free pop sickle or pudding.

Even with no fill (though it may be a vestige of being new) I feel like I can't eat much more quantity than 4-6 oz of even Soup. I suspect that subsides.

Evo, there is a 105 lb difference in the numbers you posted. Either there is a typo or you lost 100 pounds and didn't realize it.

Alcohol is empty calories. You are not going to lose weight pounding beers. A friend of mine had bypass; lost obscene weight and gained it all back with the help of Budweiser.

If you're going to drink, drink something stronger so that it doesn't take as many to get a buzz.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
