Hi. I will be habing the lapband in January. I havent' thought much about having plastic surgery. Does everyone need it after they lose weight? I need to lose about 70-80 pounds. I really hope I won't need it.

Thanks

I have heard that it all depends on your age, and how much exercise you do while you lose weight. AND, if you lose to fast, there is no way for your skin to keep pace with the fat loss...

So, presumeably, if you lose at a nice even pace 1-2 pounds per week, and you exercise while you do it - and you are still young enough to have some natural elasticity to your skin - you might not need it.

:]

I agree with Rene, however, if you have more to loose...such as myself who wants to lose about 150 pounds, then I don't think even slow weight loss with a sensible exercise routine will make the skin shrink. I KNOW I'll need to have plastic surgery when all is said and done. My 3 pregnancies really did a number on my belly, so I will definately get a Tummy Tuck at the end of this journey. I'm going to get a breast augmentation, too. I've been jipped in that department for all my life and will fix that, too. LOL.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
