I had originally lost to 111 lbs. two years ago, but have slowly regained 20 lbs. I am so unhappy with myself! I am going to get a fill and try to relose the weight I have gained. Any support or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Has this happened to anyone else?

Go back to basics! Start over, as if you were newly banded. Log your food, Water, and exercise. Measure your portions like you did in the beginning. And set a specific goal...say measuring your food every meal for 3 weeks, or making sure you drink all your water, etc. Specific goals make it feel more attainable.

Good luck!

I had lost 90lbs and now I have gained 40 of it back. I know how you feel disappointed. I feel the same way. I went to get a fill and they told me that I muffin topped which I guess is when my stomach stretched out on the top of my band so they drained my band and I went back for 2 fills and still have not felt any restrictions. Not sure what to do now.

Firstly - I think you should stop beating yourself up!

Think about it - before the band if you had lost over 100 pounds two years ago how much would you weigh now?

I bet you would have gained back alot more than 20 (I know I always gained back the whole amount and then some!).

Also - before the band would you have pulled yourself up at 20 pounds?

I am scheduled for surgery in two weeks and instead of freaking me out that you have gained some weight back - I feel comforted that I might be able to use the band as a tool to get myself back on track if I make mistakes.

You know what to do (you must you lost over 100 pounds!) stop beating yourself up and be glad you are not having to start from the beginning again :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
