I am not very tall and was tired of fighting my weight all my life. Although I did not qualify under current standards for the surgery, I am happy I had it done. I started at 155 lbs and lost down to 115. I have now regained to 135, so 20 lb regain. I have not been able to tolerate my band being tight due to reflux and even had pneumonia from it. I am now 3 years post op and am still glad I had the surgery. I guess my problem now is finding the "sweet spot". I have had the band loose for quite some time and think I am ready for a fill and to re-lose the weight I have gained.
