I am 2 days post op. I'm feeling pretty good, still have some gas pains and a little bit of soreness. My question is...is it normal that I can eat a whole cop of Jello? Like the little plastic cups they come in. I make sure to make it real liquidy in my mouth before I swallow. I just thought with my stomach being swollen I wouldn't be able to eat it all?

Honestly it's liquid, it'll go thru either way but you might not want to push it this far. Maybe just have half and even tho you can eat the other half stick it in the fridge and have it later

Thanks! Yesterday I could only eat like 5 tiny bites. Today I was able to eat the whole thing. That's the only "food" I've had today. Other than that one Jello, I've had gatorade and water/crystal light.

I am 2 day post op too. :)

I am having no problems with getting my liquids in---I am rotating Water, popsicles, Jello and broth.

Over the course of the day I ate 5 popsicles and 3 of those Jello cups.

I took my last dose of meds at midnight last night and I haven't needed anything else. We went for a .50 walk this afternoon.

I don't know if this helps you---but i sounds like we are having similar experiences.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
