Silly Surgery Question

Recommended Posts

Ok stupid question time, my fellow bandsters...

Tomorrow is surgery day, and I'm REALLY confused on one stupid lil' detail... when you have your surgery as an out patient are you dressed and your shirt is up? Or are you in a hospital gown? I've been reading and it seems like people have various stories, and I'm tryin' to figure out what to wear tomorrow... silly I know.. But someone posted "Women where a buttoned down top and no bra".

I can't quite put my mind around that one.. Can someone please explain?

So how did it go? Did you come home the same day or stay overnight. I was an in and out, but was kept over night. Remember to rest, walk around the house for gas pains and take your meds on schedule. It helps prevent the pains or makes it more manageagable.

Good luck and God bless....

I had to change into a hospital gown but wore my own clothes home. Wear something very comfortable. I also took a small pillow to put between my incision and the seat belth. Worked like a charm.

Medical Degree or not if they ask you to do something "weird" think twice....lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
