  1. I know when I eat pizza. Only 2 time....I retained a lot of water. So...I took it off my list of foods to eat. I may try it when I am a little lighter. However, I don't like what it does to the scale, and since my second fill, it doesn't "sit" very well with me. It may just be water retention. As for the craving soda....???? I think I would make sure I had other options available. Good luck with your journey!

Yeah, funny how you can do with out soda for almost 2 years, then it gets control of you again, kind of like smoking..lol./.(but never smoked Thank God)... yeah, I will just have to resist it again.. back to water!!

  2. I really dont have any response to your problem. I would however like to ask you a question. At what fill did you start noticing that you were losing weight without trouble? I am only at 2.5 cc's and I am still eating like a pig. I feel so lost. I know ou are at 8.90 cc and you seem to be losing without any trouble at all. I want to get to that point so much. I hope you solve your problem though because you seem like such a success. Best wishes to you!

I really noticed a difference after my 3rd fill. I had about 4.5 or so in at that time. So, hang in there restriction comes, best to go slow on fills though. :)

  3. Well, I love my band. Fills are nothing, i like the band it's adjustable and reversiable too if need be. withe bypass you can stretch it out and you get that dumping sysdrome. BUt with the band, you need to keep up with fills and give up certain foods because of getting stuck. So, I say resereach til you know what is best for you. It's a life changing surgery no matter which one you pick. Good luck!

  4. HI,, this is very normal.. Once you get a few fills and have some restriction in your band, things will be easier to pass up and stay on track, because when you eat, it'll be a small amount and you'll be full for a few hours. just hang in there, your doing fine, your n "bandster hell " right now, time before fills, you'll survive it, we all been there, well, you took a bite of this or that, i bet in the past you would of eaten the whole thing and then some. so be proud of just a couple bites of things, it a step in the right direction, we cant change so fast, it's a process.. small steps lead to big accomplicaments! :)

  5. This is the best thing Ive done. 10 months out and down 91 pounds.. 27 to goal! just make your sure your 100% ready for a big change in your life, only you will know if your ready. no regrets here and do again and again!

  6. Hi, very normal to stop losing weight once on regular foods, so actually gain a couple, very normal. As for your first fill, fills dont hurt feels like a little stick and more pressure of his hand fiding the port, like some pushing on your tummy. Dont be surprise if you dont feel any different from the first fill, takes about 2 or 3 to notice a difference lots of times. Always good to measure yourself along with weighing yourself, i been measuring myself about once a month and write in my journal. Helps to see the full picture! Good luck and your on way to see the weight just fall off!

  7. Hi,I was also banded in May 09. Have you kept up with your fills? That is the key with the lap band, must keep up with your fills. I have a 14cc band and have 7.7 and at my sweet spot. You can do this. This a great start admitting the issues and I'm proud of you! Go back to the basic and dont drink while eating or 45 mins after. maybe measure your food too, protien first. NO slider foods. Make sure you get all your water in. You got a great goal, your wedding. congrads!!! Come to chat on here, it helps me get support and keeps me on track. I'm 42 and started at 258 and now 175. 35 more to my goal of 140. I am here if you need a friend or encourgement.

  8. Hello, i cant rememnber my doc saying you can only lose 40% or 60% of your weight.. hummm scary hearing this. I been banded 9 months and down 84 and need to lose 35 to my goal of 140. I had a total of 118 to lose. so not sure if I beleive those percentage, i proven that isnt always true. we all hit plateaus, i think it's away our body say slow down... they do pass, when i was on one, i did liguids for 3 days it helped break it. I know my lost has slowed down some, but i knew it would the closer to goal I got. I am happy with the band, and your will start again, try the liguid for a few days and see if that helps. couldnt hurt anyway.. hang in there we all been there and I'll problay be there again.

  9. that was my issue, i had to gain about 15 for them to qualify me. but worth it, i know you dont want to gain to have more to lose, i've been banded 9 months and lost 82 pounds.. 37 to my goal of 140. so, minor set back, but you'll lost that 10 pounds alot faster then not being banded.. worth it. love my band.

  10. Hey, hang in there... this is time for your body to heal and you have no restriction yet, the swellon has gone down and that is why you can eat more. Try to make good food choices, this is will will power has to step for a little while, once you get a few fills is when you really start to lose the weight. At best try to maitiane where your at until the fills start coming. This is perfectly normal to gain a couple pounds before, my doc warned me about it, so I wouldn't panic. hang in there we all been where your at. huggs
