  2. Welcome! I'm former military and being a female usually ended up hanging with the wives. This is a great place for support and tricare is good about paying for the surgery!
  3. My nutritionist said saltines are ok bu this early out I wouldn't do more than like 2 per meal. I'm going to do the dip in a bunch of little containers for quick meals. Trying to make sure there are alot of quick dinners bc my kids sports will be starting soon!
  4. I had this issue before surgery. Your first priority is to make sure that this is not a problem with your heart or kidneys. My pitting edema started to go away during the preop diet and has not returned since!! Your sodium intake will drastically decrease which will help. Also losing weight in general will help as well.
  5. Same here. I don't feel hungry but I don't really get full. This is why portion control is going to super important. At this point you should not have more than 2-3 oz or 1/4 cup!
  6. it should be fine as long as you are not cooking them with anything high in carbs. but a sautee or steam should be fine!
  7. i'm craving avocado too. tomorrow starts puree for me. I plan on doing a scrambled egg with spoonful of avocado on it. Also going to make a 'layered dip' with refried beans, pureed chilli, avocado, and plain yogurt. yum!
  8. Great idea! I can't wait to have a great excuse to get crab legs! Around here though, the only way to eat crabs is whole with lots of old bay - can't wait to do that yumm!

    You could purée your serving or it would be good in soft phase. I also was told no corn but would sub diced tomatoes as well.

  15. I was told that tomato soup, broth, and cream soups are liquids by my nutritionist!

  18. Thanks. I like certain roll bc of the aoli and other ingredients that sashimi just doesn't have! Did you tolerate the nori wrap?
  19. I dumped off truvia so I guess it's possible to dump off Protein. That's a shame. Hang on to it you might be able to tolerate it next month.
