  1. I'm out of town and tried some meat last night. It felt kinda stuck. Not enough to make me throw up but I can feel it. I was uncomfortable all night. This morning after my shake I felt like throwing up but couldn't and now I feel terrible and still feel like im full and like its in my throat too. And dang it I didn't bring my papaya enzymes! Any suggestions please?
  2. Was told 3 weeks. The important thin is that everything is healed and sealed so you don't have wound issues.
  3. Yum looks good! Thanks
  4. Thanks! Soon we will have an explosion of tomatoes in our garden. Looks great!
  5. Yay it's my one month surgiversary! I'm back to work and the mom taxi is busy as ever and I'm feeling great! Have lost 39 lbs so far!!! And the best is still yet to come
  6. Yes some surgeons use it to decompress the stomach. It may possibly hooked up to light intermittent suction on the wall. It won't hurt and will be taped to your cheek then safety pinned to your gown. Its much easier to insert during surgery than after. It's a little old school but nothing to worry about.
  7. That's a very good suggestion. Warm liquids or sf ice pops may make you more comfortable. Hoarness, sore throat, and cuts in your mouth are all normal parts of anesthesia and they just take a little time but it wont last forever!
  8. I agree with all the others and would like to add that one of my major concerns with drinking after rny is the increases risk of ulcers. I had pretty bad gerd before rny and I'm betting lots of you all did too. Its not worth it to me to get sloppy drunk from a drink, possibly dump or cause liver damage or ulcers. Maybe after a few months will have one small drink on special occasions but not ready yet.
  9. Meet your daily nutrition goals! Your body will thank you!
  10. Yumm thanks for sharing!
  11. Great job... And this is only the beginning!
  12. Mm me too! I love her recipes! I have been craving granola and how good would that be on Greek yogurt!
  13. A tummy tuck! I'm getting the family season tickets to Hershey park and our favorite nfl team if possible! I'm super excited to get updated family portraits as well
  14. I went down about half a cup size so far but that is now what it was before I gained weight. Hopefully no more!
  15. Yumm! Sad part is my kids like it to and it goes fast!!
  16. I do a protein shake for a quick breakfast and made a bunch of frozen lunches in tiny containers like chilli, crab cakes, etc. go to theworldaccordingtoeggface.com and search bites. They are very easy to make ahead and freeze for grab and go! I keep a water bottle with me everywhere at work to sip sip sip all day. Its almost easier now that in working bc all the meals are premade and easy.
  17. I haven't been brave enough to try Greek yogurt since surgery and I love it but did try the diabetic friendly low carb dannon. Don't try it! It's not good at all!
  18. I tried egg and it felt like it got stuck and only a few bites filled me up. I think because it's very dense and kind of dry. I have heard that poached eggs go down much easier - and they aren't as dry...
  19. I had those same feelings but realize that if your doctor thought you weren't safe for surgery he would never agree to it. And trust me ppl get turned away for being too sick all the time. They care about you and dont want anythjng bad to happen to uou or lose their license. How safe and healthy will you be in 10 years if you continue on your same path wo surgery? I felt better and more in control by making a will and writing just in case letters to my kids. Maybe a bit overboard but assuring.
  20. And for less than 60 cals you can't go wrong! I made two batches and froze them for quick lunches or dinners! Crab meat goes in sale pretty frequently so that's always a good time to grab some
